Yitzchak Roth is an expert in rehabilitation psychology with extensive experience in psychological treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. He currently serves as a rehabilitation psychology supervisor at the ICAMH-Hadassah Clinic for Addiction and Double Diagnosis, while also maintaining an established private practice.
His academic background includes a Bachelor degree in Psychology with Honors from the Open University and a Master degree in Rehabilitation Psychology with Honors from Ariel University. His thesis, which focused on sharing a child’s medical condition with them by their parents, was published in the Comprehensive Psychiatry journal. He completed his internship in rehabilitation psychology at the Nefesh LeNefesh Counseling and Empowerment Center for the community and at the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress at Hadassah Hospital. There, he specialized in working with children, adolescents, and adults who faced a range of difficulties, such as psychiatric disorders, coping with illness, life crises, developmental disorders, trauma, loss, and grief. His therapeutic approach includes the use of various methods and tools, such as play therapy, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and integrative therapy. He also works with different treatment formats, including individual, dyadic, couple, and family therapy. Yitzchak views the therapeutic encounter as a space aimed at connecting with the patient’s world and aligning with their needs and goals in order to facilitate growth and change, with the ultimate aim of improving their mental well-being, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
