Mario Mikulincer, PhD, is Professor of Psychology, former head of the department of Psychology at Bari-Ilan University, Founding Dean of the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology at Reichman University, and the current Academic Director of the Israel Center on Addiction and Mental Health at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He published more than 400 articles and book chapters, four authored books, and 11 edited books. His main research interests are attachment-related processes in adulthood; terror management theory; emotion regulation; prosocial feelings and behavior; trauma and post-trauma, and mental health problems. His work is highly cited with more than 90,000 citations in scientific outlets (H-Index: 141). He is a recipient of Israel’s EMET Prize for Art, Science, and Culture and of the Berscheid–Hatfield Award for Distinguished Mid-Career Achievement from the International Association for Relationship Research.
