Dr. Or Gliksberg holds a bachelor degree in Psychology and Sociology from Ariel
University, a master's degree in Psychology with a specialization in Cognition,
Emotion, and Brain from Bar-Ilan University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Ariel
University. Her doctoral research focused on the development and validation of a
novel scale for assessing problematic medicinal cannabis use. Her research primarily
addresses problematic use of cannabis and medicinal cannabis, with an emphasis on
the intersection of substance use and mental health disorders. Dr. Gliksberg has led
several studies examining the long-term psychological and social effects of medicinal
cannabis use, with particular attention to stigma, identity, and coping mechanisms
among patients with chronic pain and PTSD. She currently serves as a senior
researcher at the Israeli Center for Addiction and Mental Health, where she continues
to explore epidemiological and clinical aspects of substance use, aiming to inform
intervention and prevention strategies.
