Meital is a postdoctoral researcher at the Israel Center for Addiction and Mental Health (ICAMH) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She completed her PhD at the School of Social Work at Bar-Ilan University under the supervision of Prof. Orit Taubman–Ben-Ari, receiving multiple awards for academic excellence, including the Mozes S. Schupf Fellowship Program for Outstanding Students, the President’s Scholarship for Outstanding Students, and the Rector’s Award. Her research examines how stress and life events, emotional processes, and close relationships shape pathways to experiences of personal growth as well as maladaptive behaviors, such as addiction.
